I Want to Be A Dancer
Oh, how I want to be a dancer
When I was younger, what was my answer
No
But even with such a big blow
That couldn’t stop me
Oh, how I want to be a dancer
And to me, that was my answer
I danced in the bright of the moonlight
And I will show all those who bite
Because you can’t stop me
Oh, how I want to be a dancer
And this is no banter
I practiced with every second I could
And to my delight I did good
Oh, how I want to be a dancer
And I took my chance here
To stand on this stage
Despite my age
I was free
Oh, how I want to be a dancer
Because I’m like a prancer
So, as I dance
here I am
The floor goes creak as I move along the floorboards
The feet go boom as it shakes the whole room
The hands go clap as I express my freedom
I can hear slight giggles in the distance
But I am not done
I continue with my routine
As I dance the sound of the wind hissing could be heard
When I was done there was nothing but silence
I’ve left the audience mesmerized
Oh, how I want to be a dancer
When I was younger, what was my answer
No
But even with such a big blow
That couldn’t stop me

Shierra wasn’t always interested in writing, however, over time she realized that writing isn’t solely pleasant words on a paper, but possesses more intended meaning to it. Her poems express how passionate she is about the things she loves and gives you her unique perspective of it. Shierra will undoubtedly continue exploring writing to the best of her abilities to present to her audience what she loves. She wants to show others that you just have to find the right rhythm of writing that speaks to you, and maybe, you might like writing too.
