AN EYE OPENER
There's dust and dirt everywhere,
It has left nothing bare.
Plastics lying in the street,
What can we do to make our cities neat?
Nothing is left pollution free,
It has also encountered you and me.
Our minds have become thick with grime,
I wish we could go back in time.
Filthy things have replaced knowledge,
Between right and wrong there is no bridge.
The youth needs to understand,
For the nation, they have to make a stand.
Youth ought spend time with books,
Instead of mingling with crooks.
Dr Kalam wanted us to dream,
And work for the nagion as one team.
Gandhiji laid the foundation of the nation with truth,
But we want everything to be soothe.
We don't realize the hardships they went through,
Of our glorious past we have no clue.
Youth are brought up with a corruptive influence,
Blindly falling into baits by lacking common sense.
We all need to rise and shine,
For that our soul and mind we need to combine.
Bringing change is a must,
On us, the nation trusts.
We ought guide the nation,
Through corruption, poverty and basic sanitation.
To dodge problems, we must learn,
For the nation's success we must yearn.
Remove dust from our mind,
And this land of diversity we must bind.
Give the nation a new direction,
For of this land we are daughter and son.
Let the world hear the roar of the lion,
Which has been blessed by the Himalayan.
