We go about life not understanding the weight that death holds

She carried the sea in her eyes

Black iris, blue water

Promises she couldn't keep any longer

She held honey on her tongue

Numb lips, sweet rum

A lasting love that only stung

The days all blur

Seasons pass

Familiarity

Doesnt last

Sleepless nights

Days filled with dreams

Hope of a life as seen on screens

A life wasted

On anxiety and tears

A depersonalization caused by fears

She holds knowledge in her hand

Cracked skin, green with sin

As she turns to sand
