Early Out
Arguing with my parents, I can’t wait to live by myself.
Hockey offer, I accept and move out all alone, excitement starts.
Only 16, home-sick, sad, I can’t wait to see my parents.

This poem is meaningful because it represents a big impact in my journey of life where I took advantage of an opportunity. With that, I had to move out of my house and live with a family I never met to pursue my dreams of hockey. Throughout my experience, I have met many wonderful people and have had many great experiences. Even through the ups and downs, it has been worth everything and makes me appreciate seeing my family more and more.
