The memories that flood my brain
From that cold stressful place
Home is supposed to be comforting
Not what fills my anxiety
All of the yelling roars through the walls
From my living room to my petit bedroom
My depression and anxiety keep getting worse
Every shout and scream fills up my living time
I want everything in the world to stop
Just for a few seconds
Could I get some peace?
That’s all I’m asking
My home isn’t supposed to give me negative thoughts
My home isn’t supposed to make my life stressed
My home isn’t supposed to be a disappointment to come to
My home isn’t supposed to make me uncomfortable and sad
My home is supposed to make me comfortable and happy
My home is supposed to make my life less stressful
My home is supposed to free me from my negativity
My home is supposed to show my joy
To be my number-one place to go
So why do I think differently?
Why do I not feel that way?
Is my life always going to be full of questions?
Can I change my thoughts on that one place?
The word home is different for everybody
It doesn’t have to be where you live and go to every day
It can be the place you go to the most with positive thoughts
It can be your friends you hang out with
My home isn’t a place
My home isn’t a thing
My home is my friends.
That is what I call my home

Sometimes your stress is caused by where you live and I feel this piece can be relatable for people who are in the same position as me.
