Little Bella
Blonde hair tied back into pigtails
Saffire blue eyes so bright and curious
A smile so large and perfect
With parents who adore.
A little girl who enjoys time
outdoors
Never afraid of a little dirt.
Best friends with the wildlife,
Telling them stories and secrets.
Sitting on her mother's lap, listening to books
But when it came down to it
Her favorite story was
About her parents' lives.
Told again and again
The story never grew old to
Little Bella.
That night when her mom entered That night when her dad entered
Bella said tell me again
And her mother began And her father began
With a deep breath in
My parents a divorced couple I never met my parents
Caring for an only child raised by my step father
for most of my life he had 3 boys of his own
Unexpectedly died mean children they were
At 14 years old
My stepmother took me in
With an unkind heart Bullying me
A list was made chore after chore every single day
Just kept coming endlessly clean bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen
And when I got to the end the end never came
I spent the time looking outside wishing I could go outside with the
Happy people,
Smiling faces,
Laughing together,
When I turned 16 When I turned 18
I was losing hope of a future I had lost hope of a promising future
This was not what I dreamed for my life
I was losing hope of a future Never leading the life I hoped for
My best friends were the mice and house cat My best friends were the horse and dog
One night there was a dance
All my sisters left All my brothers left
Not supposed to be home for the night gone for hours
But I was not allowed to leave I was stuck inside the house
Never allowed to have any fun Like always
Working on the chores left to finish the work
I sat by the window I looked outside
Then there was a knock knock knock
I ran to the door I opened the door
My god mother stood there A beautiful lady awaited
In a blue jacket She said
Dry your eyes Let me see your smile
Tonight is your time to live
Twirl around Dear
I did
I look down I can’t believe it
I am in a blue silk dress I am in a tuxedo
My hair is done Slicked back curls
Start a new beginning
My work here is done A pleasure meeting you
When the clock turns 12 pm Be home be safe by the toll of midnight
I opened my mouth And she was gone
A carriage awaited I climbed into my ride
A girl with blonde hair sits in the seat
The carriage leaves
We look at each other
He is handsome She is beautiful
What is your name My name is Henry
What is your name
My name is Ciderella
When the carriage stops I open the door for her
He gives me his hand She steps out
He admires me she blushes at me
We walk into the building music fills the air
We dance Laughing together
Falling in love forgetting the time
11:59pm I look at her
We run anxiety heightened throughout our bodies
Until we are alone
My sisters were going to be home soon My brothers were going to be home soon
I was going to get in trouble I had to arrive home before they returned
I gave him my address I gave her my address
I hoped to see him again We desired see each other again
I arrived home and rush to my room I stepped inside my home and sat by the window
That night was the best gift anyone
Could have ever given me
I had the best day of my life
An obscured idea occurred
I ran to my closet, grabbed
My clothes,
The little money I had saved,
And the baked loaf of bread
I made for my step-mother
I rose to my feet and ran to my closet
I grabbed a bag
I started running to the address he gave me I ran to her place
I saw someone running in the distance Is that Cinderella?
I slowed as I recognized his face
He runs in to hug me We cried with joy
What are we going to do now? Lets camp here tonight
We talked and watched the sunrise
Together we decided to start a new beginning
And ran away Leave our old life behind
And find work to make a living
Never did my step-mother
Send any type of letter
Or express worry
Years went by and I turned 20
Three years together between both of us we had enough
Money to buy a small house
I proposed to her
I started crying
I was so happy
I never thought my life
Would turn out like this
I said yes I promised her a honeymoon in a couple of years
When we had enough money to travel
Now little Bella we have you
And live on this beautiful farm
Bella
Everything is possible
Never stop believing
I tuck Bella into bed
As she cuddles her stuffed mouse close
I feel blessed
As I walk out to sit by Henry
On our couch in our home.

I love to write with a flair for imagination. One day when daydreaming I experienced flashbacks from my childhood of watching Disney movies. This inspired me of what life was like after meeting Prince Charming. The story, Cinderella, is a crowd pleaser and movie makers love to produce Cinderella's tale over and over with new twists. I am very happy with this piece and would like to share my interpretation of what Cinderella's future self might look like.
