My Road

My life is a road
At every bend there is beauty
And there is trash
Some stretches are rocky and rough
And others are smooth and easy
Decisions are the intersections
I can go on any road I want
But there is only one right road
Although its steeper
And it’s not always pleasant
It worth the effort
I have Jesus with me
At every stretch
Every bend
Every mountain
Every step
It isn’t a crowded freeway
It is a long driveway
Taking up everything I am
Leading me home
