Walls of a fortress of walls that once protected
Now trap me inside, leaving me neglected
I speak through the crack under the door
I’m barely heard; forced to the floor
Sending my secrets to the other side
Hoping that my thoughts will not be denied
Everything I convey is deeply hidden
Because of the fortress my thoughts are forbidden
But no matter how thick, walls can’t stop dreams
And no matter how dark, the other side still gleams
