An Angel From Above
As she descended down from the heaven’s above
She was beautiful, a beauty I had never seen
With wings from her back, as white as a dove
Why now did she come, what did it mean?
With features of an angel
Her looks shown bright
But beyond beauty, she seemed tall and strong
By which emitted all of her might.
Why she was here
I could not ponder
She came to show the way
Of a path down yonder.
She came as a guide
to show the good side of life
As good as if seemed
I still had no wife.
Wanting to keep this beauty to stay here with me
I did everything in my power to stop her leave
But it was not enough you see
She said she had to go, but I just couldn’t believe.
The most perfect companion stood in front of me
Here for but a minute, an hour, or a moment in time
The disappointed flooded in
That she couldn’t be mine.
That day I caught a glimpse of life
What life really meant
It was more than day to day activities
Even more than paying the rent.
