Sunshine Girl
God, she’s so pretty,
Flowers hovering around her,
Begging for her warmth
She’s so kind,
So nice,
It’s not her fault
I have to beg
Her and her sunshine hair,
She’s so nice,
So kind,
I wish her eyes could forever be my favorite color,
Not that I don’t get tangled in those
Ocean blues
I run down to the beach and cry
Cry into the night
Because the ocean,
The ocean comes back to you
I wish she could come back too,
Her and her sunshine hair
Her hand was warm in mine,
Fingers soft to the touch,
Warming my winter soul
Feet digging deep into the sand
Where we carved our names
And dug a hole
So we could escape the word,
But never the heat,
But never the sents and the sea
But never my sunshine girl,
Please, let me out,
You and your sunshine hair
