Yellow Memory
The happy sun shines yellow
A lovely summer memory
Sitting in the summer sun eating jello
Somebody passes by with a smile that shines pretty
A perky wave greeting hello
Out the mouth words flee
“Oh boy sure don’t miss the snow”
Sitting inside snuggling and getting cozy
Waiting for the screaming whistle of coco
Or even a refreshing piping hot tea
The summer sun is mellow
No one trapped inside waiting to be free
The happy sun shines yellow
A lovely summer memory
Sitting in the summer sun eating jello
Somebody walks by with hair blonde and wavy
They walk with beauty from head to toe
Stripped in black like a bee
Walking like their life is a musical
The happy sun shines yellow
A lovely summer memory
Sitting in the summer sun eating jello
Every step has its own melody
An outfit with pitch low like the tune to a cello
Their perfectly composed figure strikes a gorgeous key
A confident gaze strikes and every word is lost from the libretto
Soon they walk away then the heart stops singing its ditty
The happy sun shines yellow
A lovely summer memory
Sitting in the summer sun eating jello
