Nostalgia in a Tree
The old limbs of the oak
Hang over our street
carrying the
weight of the world in
gnarly branches.
The world of
cities of birdhouses
and fire truck red
hummingbird feeders.
All adorned with
the crafts of toothless
children and
wistful adults.
Cars roll past it
to go wherever adults go.
In the blink of an eye,
you miss the
majesticness of the
eternal memory
of the oak.

Short and sweet. Just like the little things in your life. Enjoy them. Please check out some of my other poems (optional of course).
