Favorite Quote:
And one day, the girl with the books became the woman writing them.

Our faults are who we really are

So only show what’s true.

Shout your fears and shed your tears,

Don’t hide what makes you, you.

I knew a girl who loved to write

But hid her work away,

Scared of what others would think

And what others would say.

She tried to come out of her shell

And share each pencil stroke,

With time her confidence would grow

And she’d be glad she spoke.

She trembles now not at the thought

Of making her work known,

And looking back she sees no dread,

But only how she’s grown.

So don’t be afraid to show your fear

But know you can be free.

Fear’s not a sign of cowardice,

It’s a place for bravery.

This is a poem about how I used to feel too insecure to let anyone even look at any of my writing. I still don’t feel very confident in my work, but I think I’m improving 🙂
