Facade
Cracks of a castle can be covered up from the outside,
they can be ignored and pushed aside like dimes and nickles,
but if you look in through the windows,
you may see an inside that is struggling to keep up its walls,
ready to cave at any moment,
how much can a strong structure withstand,
with only the illusion of being strong,
if a single breath of wind can topple your castle,
was it ever a castle to begin with?
hello my name is alejandra! I like this piece of work because although it might not seem super poetic and fancy it carries apart of my life struggles and the people around me. i hope that whoever reads my poem enjoys it!
