The California Shore
The ocean sprays its salty shower
Over surfers' heads
As they catch a wave.
It looks as if they are flying
Over lumps of blue
Glittering carpet.
The waves crash
Over and over again
From high tide
to low tide it goes.
This is
The California Shore.
Nobody takes naps
At this beach.
The Sun's on your face
And in your heart.
Sand curls over
And under your feet.
Beach balls
And boomerangs
Fly everywhere
And girls dance
To the songs
Of many great artists.
Boys get surfing
Before sunset.
Clouds pass
Endlessly over.
