My Friend
Death is quite a funny man may I say
His knowledge in humor often eases of my pains.
To many,
Death is an enemy,
A sworn foe waiting for them at the end of the road
To some,
He has become their obsession
Constantly asking for his kiss of ends
To others,
He is still a stranger
Never having encountered him on their roads
To me,
He has become an old friend
A comforter and an old pal
Who’s hand I will gladly take
To take the last breaths in ending of my story.
