When you put them first
When you think of them all the time
When you go out of your way just to be next to them

That is very sweet that you feel that way. Try using some literary elements...like imagery or metaphors. Try reading MY poem called PLUTO. It's about a painful kind of love. Maybe it will inspire you:) Nice job.

For me, this poem was too simple. Sometimes simple is good, but not in this case.

 

I should also mention that in the second line, "then" should be "them".
