Seconds
Lazy as ever
seeking to drift into a dreamy, lightless pocket of my own mind
Both eyes seeing fewer streams of gold, feeling more shadows on their edges.
Lightly being heavily idle
Heavenly dawn breaks.
Withered away are my reservations, as I
attempt to extend my obligation-less state to an eternity,
and embrace stillness.
Mere seconds of placidity
Seep out like trapped sunlight,
the like of which would later fill the room
in seconds.
