Fall Reminiscence
The colors glide like a sea in the air,
The sound of leaves crunching beneath my footsteps,
The taste of pumpkin pie delighting my taste buds,
The smell of bark burning in the fireplace,
The cool outside air as it tickles my skin,
This is FALL!
Memories of my childhood I have long since forgotten,
Return to me in the peaceful autumn breeze.
Now the forgotten people are flooding back,
Are engulfing my thoughts once more.
Every year, every fall I think of them, again,
Regrets that have been made, in this and previous falls.
