From The Ground We Grow
I long to touch the earth.
To hold it in my palms
and break it within them.
I wish to grab handfuls
of the ground beneath me
and throw it carelessly
into the breeze above me.
I will grow from it something
that is wild and new,
something that cannot be tamed.
And I will let it's roots live within me
until I am the ground
in someone else's palm.
