My Creepy Crawlies
Spiders are eight-legged creatures
who crawl over the earth
Some with poisonous fangs
Ready to strike a blow
Their spindly bodies and wispy webs
have no more substance than air
Yet they are impossible to miss
When they dangle from your ceiling
They are seen as tricksters in folklore
And are not meant to be trusted
I can plainly see why they are portrayed this way,
As they are often not welcome in households
