1st To Die
Patterson, James. 1st To Die. Warner Vision Books, 2001. 0446696617. $10.07
Grade Level: High School. The first thing that came to mind when I read this was amazing. The action and suspense kicks off in the very first chapter when a new groom is stabbed in the chest after the reception in the hotel. If that's not enough, the wife is the next victim because she lets her guard down. The heroine of this novel is trying her best to solve the case, while fighting a rare blood disease. As always, James Patterson uses his powerful mind to derive another best seller with an ending that would have anyone guessing unsuccessfully of the culprit. Though it was rated a 4 out of 5 by Amazon, I would easily rate this as a 5 star book. (Mark Curry, Student, Hunter Huss High School.)
